The Israel Hour

Here's what
The Jerusalem
Post
had to say about Israeli Music Online:

NEW JERSEY is not exactly the rock-music center of the world, so it's somewhat surprising to learn that fine state actually hosts an Israeli-oriented radio show featuring Israeli rock. I think the best way to listen to contemporary rock music is with very effective earplugs, but tastes differ, and I understand the show is quite popular.

Called The Israel Hour, the program has a homepage at http://www.sabra.net/theisraelhour, called "Israeli Music Online." If you actually like Israeli rock music, check the page out, since it has some good Israeli music links, including links to the home pages of such singers as Achinoam Nini, David Broza, Mashina, Ethnix, and Hava Alberstein (what's she doing on a list of Israeli rock music?).

There are also links to Larry Yudelson's Radio Hazak page, and, inexplicably, to the Israeli Pre-Eurovision Song Contest.

My views on Israeli music notwithstanding, Israeli Music Online provides a good starting point for Israeli music-lovers.("Surfing the Net" by Jeff Abramowitz, The Jerusalem Post Magazine, April 25, 1997)
